COVID Safety Plan – February 2022

As you are aware, our clinic has already implemented measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In alignment with NSW Health’s goals to reduce community spread of COVID-19 we have implemented further measures and updated the restrictions to our clinic. These are as follows:

• Reducing the amount of people in the clinic, this includes our clients and our therapists. We have created a roster so that there are no more than 3 team members on site per day. This may mean some changes to your therapy schedule.
• Sighting Vaccine Passports for those visiting the clinic
• We are encouraging clients to move their appointments to Telehealth services where possible.
• Increased cleaning of frequently used surfaces including: therapy tables, door handles and reception counter;
• Sanitising our toys thoroughly between patients
• Spacing between appointments
• Directing staff members to remain at home if unwell
• Social distancing restrictions within the waiting room and in therapy rooms
• Observing proper hand hygiene. Hand sanitizer is available in every room

Currently, our assessments have gone back to being conducted Face-to-Face. To do this, we have had to roster which Therapists are in the clinic on certain days, to adhere to our restriction on numbers of people in the clinic.

If you cannot participate Face to Face it may be possible to conduct the assessment via Telehealth, please speak with your therapist to schedule a day that they will be to conduct a Telehealth assessment appointment.

You can help keep us all safe from COVID-19 by:
– Wearing a mask during your therapy sessions
– Limiting the number of people in accompanying your child to therapy.

We thank you for your cooperation in ensuring that we are able to continue to provide you with safe speech pathology services. We will keep you updated regarding changes to our service provision.
