Why isn’t anyone picking up the phone?

To keep costs reasonable for our patients Western Sydney Speech Pathology does not employ a receptionist. Please leave a message on our phone and let us know the best time to ring you back. Do I need a referral?

No, you do not need a referral from a doctor to see us.

Do I need to pay for this service?

Yes. Western Sydney Speech Pathology is a private speech pathology service. Please call us to find out our rates.

Do I still have to pay if I have a Medicare: Enhanced Primary Care Plan?

Yes. Medicare only covers part of your fee.

How does the Medicare: Enhanced Primary Care Plan work?

At Western Sydney Speech Pathology, patients pay the full amount of their speech pathology session and then claim their rebate from Medicare afterwards. If you wish to use the Enhance Primary Care Plan, please make sure your bring your Medicare Care Plan to your first speech pathology session.

Are you open on Saturdays?

We are open on Saturdays between 9am-1pm.

Do you do home visits or school visits?

We are a clinic based speech pathology service. Our therapists only visit schools if there are four or more children at the school who are also looking to access therapy and if the school is able to provide a room for us to work.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cannot attend an appointment, it is your responsibility to notify us of any changes or cancellations. To avoid cancellation fees, we require you to notify us at least 2 days prior to your scheduled appointment. To notify us, call us on (02) 9622 1616.  

In the event that sufficient notice is not given or you do not attend your scheduled appointment, Western Sydney Speech Pathology reserves the right to charge up to the full fee for the cancelled or missed appointment.
